Tilia cordata
Volatile oil, flavonoids, mucilage,
phenol acid, tannins. Nervine,
anti-spasmodic, hypotensive,
diaphoretic, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, astringent.
Traditional Uses:
Use for nervous tension, restlessness, and anxiety. Acts as a prophylactic against the development of arteriosclerosis and hypertension. May be used to treat high blood pressure associated with hardening of the arteries and nervous tension. Can be used to assist with circulatory disorders. May help for some forms of migraine also associated with tension. As a relaxant it helps with feverish colds and flu. Save to use for babies and children for sleeplessness.
Directions to use:
Infusion: 1 teaspoon of blossoms in 1 cup of boiling water. Stand for 10min. Strain and drink three times a day. For fever use 2 – 3 teaspoons.
Safety precautions:
Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Do not give to children. Consult with a medical practitioner before use.
