Acts as a cardio-active, diuretic.

Traditional Uses:

This is probably the most valuable heart remedy used today. It has an action equivalent to Foxglove (Digitalis) without the toxic effects. Use for the treatment of heart failure and water retention where it is associated with the heart. Where there is difficulty breathing due to congestive conditions of the heart. For heart failure due to long term cardiovascular problems or because of a chronic lung problem like emphysema.

Directions to use:

Infusion: 1-2 teaspoons of the herb placed in 1 cup of boiling water. Infuse for 10-15min. Strain and drink. once or twice per day. Do not exceed dosages.

Should only be used under qualified supervision. Can be highly toxic. It is not intended to replace medical treatment rather use as supportive therapy. Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Consult with a medical practitioner before use.
