The best digestive remedies. Used in the treatment of digestive problems (peptic ulcer, heartburn, and gastritis). Reduces excess acidity and eases nausea. May be useful for peptic ulceration and diarrhea in children. Analgesic effect and is of value to bring down fevers and used during common colds. May reduce pain in muscles and joints due to rheumatism.
Directions to use:
Infusion: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of herb. Infuse for 10 – 15min. Strain and drink three times a day. Can be used to flavor fruit and jams, wine, beer, and vinegars.
Safety precautions:
Do not use if pregnant or lactating. Consult with a medical practitioner before use. This plant contains compounds related to aspirin. Avoid if sensitive to salicylate.
